Year 1 and 2 Spellings
Year 1 and 2 Common Exception Words
Common exception words are a group of words that appear commonly in both texts and spoken language, but which can't be decoded using normal phonics rules.
Exception words are also referred to as tricky words or sight words.
Pupils should learn to recognise them.
