Intent

Learning a foreign language is a necessary part of being a member of a multi-cultural society and provides an opening to other cultures.

• To foster children’s curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world and their position as global citizens.  
• To enable children to express their thoughts and ideas in another language and become more effective communicators.
• To provide the foundations for learning further languages.
• Equip children with a coherent, progressive and challenging curriculum for all learners to reach their full potential.
