Welcome to Venus Class Homework Page

 

To support your child's learning in school there are lots of things you can be doing at home to help. Some things to do each evening include:

 

 Listen to your child read their book and leaving a short comment in their reading records. Ask them lots of questions about the story!

 

 Practice letter formation and letter sounds in their yellow phonics folders and pink sound books.

 

 Give children a word or sentence to practice writing, repeat the word or sentence several times and get your child to repeat it back to you, then encourage them to write it.  

 

  Practice name writing.

 

 Practice counting forwards and backwards from 0 to 20 and recognising numbers.

 

Please do not feel you have to do all of these things every evening. Letter formation, word writing and reading are our big focus this term.
